Gunners lead group despite PSV Eindhoven draw.

In a much-changed and lackluster performance, Arsenal was held to a 1-1 draw against Dutch league leaders PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League on Tuesday. Despite the draw, Arsenal remains at the top of Group B.

Both teams had already secured their spots in the last 16, leading to a match with reduced pressure. PSV, dominating in the Eredivisie with 15 consecutive wins, started brightly, creating chances and putting Arsenal under pressure.

Ricardo Pepi of PSV missed a clear chance from close range early in the match. Arsenal, with eight changes from their Premier League loss to Aston Villa, struggled to find their rhythm, lacking organization at the back and penetration upfront.

Despite the run of play, Arsenal took the lead just before halftime when Eddie Nketiah found space in the box and slotted home a low shot. However, PSV quickly responded in the second half as Yorbe Vertessen curled in a shot to level the score.

PSV continued to control the game, creating chances with confident ball movement. Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale made crucial saves to keep his team in the match. Although Jakub Kiwior had a goal ruled out for offside, PSV missed a late opportunity to secure a win when Guus Til’s shot went wide.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw, a result that didn’t significantly impact the standings as both teams had already advanced to the last 16. Arsenal and PSV will now await the draw to determine their opponents in the knockout stage.
