Luis Suarez scored his first goal in an Inter Miami jersey during the Riyadh Cup match against Al Hilal.
Suarez followed the ball after Julian Gressel’s effort was deflected wide, making the ideal striker’s run. He took advantage of the loose ball during his following run and neatly tucked it home. After a protracted VAR review, the referee team decided to allow the Herons to score their first goal of the day.

The Saudi Pro League team scored two goals early in the first half against the Herons, but they bounced back nicely before halftime. Lionel Messi appeared to add another goal after Suarez gave the MLS team the lead, but the Uruguayan was not onside when the Argentine scored.
The Uruguayan’s first goal proved to be insufficient as the Herons lost their Riyadh Cup opener, 4-3, against Al Hilal.
On Thursday, the Herons’ preseason World Tour continues with a matchup against Al-Nassr and Cristiano Ronaldo. After that, three more games remain till the MLS season begins.
